

Logitech G has partnered with the event as the official Peripheral Partner and will add headsets, keyboards, and mice. The tournament will be played in three Age of Empires (AoE) games that have been updated for modern devices AoE I: Definitive Edition, AoE II: Definitive Edition, and AoE IV.

The “main event” finals will feature group stage June 19-20, a second on June 25, playoffs on June 26, and the finals on june 27. Red Bull has announced the 2022 edition of real-time strategy game Age of Empires’ esports tournament Red Bull Wololo, called Red Bull Wololo: Legacy. Wololo IV: The epic Age of Empires II Definitive Edition will begin on May 20-30 with the first qualifier, followed by a second qualifier on June 6-7. In each event, players will “fight over a castle that has a library containing knowledge required for world domination.” This year in Red Bull Wololo IV, players will take on the role of Viking warriors in a Nordic-themed event. As part of the competition series, each Red Bull Wololo will see a different story arc introduced for players to compete in. The event will feature competition in Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition, the remastered re-release of the classic real-time strategy game from Microsoft. Various prizes will be given out to the top 64 players while a $30K USD prize pool awaits. The event is a 1v1 competition where players will have to battle through open qualifiers in order to get to the main event where eight players will then compete for the championship. Red Bull is bringing back its Wololo event for 2021 having just announced Red Bull Wololo IV: The epic Age of Empires II Definitive Edition.
